Airbus Partners with Planet for Satellite Imagery

Airbus has announced a data-sharing agreement with satellite imagery purveyors Planet, along with a project to deliver a geoinformation platform and pipeline for the Thai government. The depth and breadth of satellite data products in the marketplace may soon expand following the announcement by Airbus and Planet of a new partnership that provides access to each other’s data, and an agreement to co-develop new products. Commercial Distribution of WorldView-4 Satellite Imagery in Europe

European Space Imaging has announced that the company has started operations of its new ground station with access to the entire satellite fleet of its WorldView Global Alliance partner DigitalGlobe. Australian Defence Signs $100 Million Deal for High-res Satellite Imagery

The Australian Government has invested into its surveillance capabilities with a new $83 million USD ($104 AUD) contract with DigitalGlobe. The agreement will give the Department of Defence (DoD) access to all of DigitalGlobe’s satellite imagery, which spans 16 years, through a Direct Access Program (DAP) contract.
